  2. Click the Post Type Manager tab
  3. Check the boxes for post types where you want the metabox
  4. Click Save Changes

Supported Post Types

The metabox can be enabled on:

  • Posts – WordPress default posts
  • Pages – WordPress default pages
  • Products – WooCommerce products (if installed)
  • Any Custom Post Type – Registered by themes or plugins
Note: Only public post types appear in the list. Built-in WordPress types like “Attachments” or “Revisions” are excluded.

Service Areas and Branches

Enable the metabox on any custom post type to map business locations:

  • Add exact branch or service area coordinates
  • Display all entries on a searchable map
  • Use map popups to show key post details
  • Set custom pin colors where needed

How It Works

Once enabled, the metabox appears automatically when editing any post of that type:

  1. Edit any post of the enabled type
  2. Scroll down to find the Location Coordinates metabox
  3. Set coordinates using the visual map interface
  4. Save the post – coordinates are stored as post meta

Using with Elementor Widgets

To display posts with coordinates on a map:

  1. Add TC Locations Pro widget to your page
  2. Set Location Source to Posts
  3. Select the post type you enabled the metabox on
  4. Widget auto-detects plugin fields: _lmfe_latitude_lmfe_longitude
  5. Map displays all posts with coordinates!
Smart Auto-Detection: The widget automatically knows when a post type has the plugin’s metabox enabled and fills in the correct field names. No manual configuration needed!

Disabling the Metabox

To remove the metabox from a post type:

  1. Go to TC Locations → Settings → Post Type Manager
  2. Uncheck the post type
  3. Click Save Changes
Data Preservation: Disabling the metabox hides it from the edit screen, but existing coordinate data remains in post meta. You can re-enable it anytime.
